PASV & Atlanta Business Club Honor Rising with Melodies

On September 17, 2026, Rising with Melodies was honored by PASV and the Atlanta Business Club in recognition of our work supporting underprivileged children through free music and English education in Peru. Founder Alexander Lopez accepted the award on behalf of the organization at a ceremony held at NUSHI Art House in Atlanta.

Alexander was quick to point out that none of this happens without the incredible local team on the ground in Trujillo, Peru. It's where Rising with Melodies first opened its doors, with staff and volunteers guiding each child through their very first piano notes — the same team that has since helped launch the organization's English program. As he put it in his speech, this recognition "belongs to every staff member and volunteer" who shows up for these kids every day.

In his acceptance speech, Alexander shared the story of Antony — a student who struggled at the piano at first, but whose determination revealed exactly what the organization was built for.

"That's the moment I understood what we're actually building. It's not a music program. It's a place where a kid who's been told he doesn't fit anywhere finally finds the one place he does."

This recognition belongs to every staff member and volunteer who has taught a child like Antony — and to every child like him who has taught us why this work matters. As Rising with Melodies grows from music into English education, we're grateful to PASV and the Atlanta Business Club for helping us reach more children who are waiting to find their spark.
