Working Plan & Obligations

YAB On-Site Adviser Program  ·  Alpharetta, Georgia, USA

Companion document: This working plan applies alongside the signed Youth Volunteer Agreement — On-Site YAB Adviser, which governs conduct, confidentiality, and conflict-of-interest disclosure. Both must be reviewed by every on-site volunteer.

Georgia teenagers taking on real responsibility — planning activities, managing events, and being accountable for the progress of planned activities — well beyond what a typical high school volunteer opportunity offers.

We see this as a genuine civic-engagement and leadership-development pipeline for Northeast Georgia youth, built around the same model that built the organization itself: young people stepping up to lead, not just participate.

This document outlines what the role involves, what we expect of volunteers, and how volunteer hours are tracked and certified.

Part 1Role & Responsibilities

As an On-Site YAB Adviser, you will take ownership of one or more of the following areas, depending on assignment:

Part 2Time Commitment

One full semester (~12–16 weeks)
Project/event-based, not fixed weekly sessions
See assigned projects through to completion
Part 3Obligations

By participating, volunteers agree to:

Part 4Volunteer Hours Certification
Part 5Standing & Removal

Volunteers who fail to follow through on commitments, violate the Code of Conduct, or make unauthorized commitments on the organization's behalf may have their certificate eligibility paused or their volunteer status ended, at the discretion of the Board.
